Submissions may be edited for length and clarity and will not be returned. Please note that we try to respond to every letter we receive, and therefore, regrettably, not all letters can be answered in a timely manner.

CONTRIBUTOR GUIDELINES

We are available both online and in print. She’s SINGLE publishes 4 times a year and is available on newsstands in select stores in the United States and Canada. We release 2-5 featured articles in every issue – we publish quarterly.  We try to group articles and submissions by theme when it makes sense to do so. Articles are always about female independence, motivation, sex and relationships and finance.  We are trans inclusive.

We receive a lot of queries.  So please be patient.  We also fill our spots about three months in advance.  So, if it’s January, we are likely looking for April features at that time.

​

She’s SINGLE Magazine welcomes queries from professional and emerging writers and artists anywhere along the gender continuum.

​

PAY

We believe in helping to create a fair economy where everyone has the potential to flourish and contribute.  We pay a flat rate for all accepted articles in print: $2,000 USD.

​

We prioritize queries from creators who believe in our mission by demonstrating they have actually read a few articles in the magazine before submitting a query.

More Information

  • We do not accept previously published works (i.e.: blog posts). 

  • If you want to pitch a story, we need a query or idea summary which includes a brief summary (150-250 words) plus the opening paragraph: who you plan to interview, and how you plan to go about researching for the piece (if appropriate). If you are new to us, please also send a sample of previously published or your best work from your blog or website.

  • Send articles and pitches and questions to hello@shessinglemag.com

  • Include the word SUBMISSION in the subject line.

  • We receive a high volume of article queries and regret that we cannot guarantee a timely response in every case.

  • We do aim to respond within 14 days.

  • There is a non-refundable $12 submission fee. We only accept payments via PayPal.
